About Slooop
Slooop is an Android client for browsing imageboards, with its listed features aimed at Android 11 and later. It includes built-in support for Dvach and Kekabu, plus experimental read-only support for 4chan. For Kekabu, users can browse communities, tags, feeds, and search results, sign in through the official site, and vote when they choose to do so. The client supports thread browsing, favorites, optional background notifications for replies, and automatic hiding of content. A filterable gallery helps users browse media attached to threads, and files can be saved in the background. Video playback is handled through an integrated FFmpeg player with seeking, playback-speed controls, gestures, and picture-in-picture mode. Threads can be archived locally as HTML or ZIP files and viewed within the app, giving users a way to keep copies for later access. Appearance is configurable through bundled, downloadable, or custom themes. Users can also adjust icons and shortcuts, download a catalog of free fonts, or load their own TTF and OTF font files. Slooop combines board browsing, media viewing, local archiving, and interface customization in one mobile client. Some capabilities vary by board: 4chan support is described as experimental and read-only, while sign-in and voting are specified for Kekabu. This distinction helps set expectations about which interactions are available in each service.
