About Smb4K
Smb4K browses a local network for workgroups, computers, and shared folders, then lets users mount selected shares so their files are available through the local file system. It supports network file-sharing protocols used by Linux and FreeBSD systems and can mount or unmount shares. Users can preview remote share contents, bookmark favorites, and access mounted files through a file manager or terminal. The application can detect external mounts, remount previously used shares when it starts, synchronize a remote share with a local copy, and store custom options or profiles for different network setups. It also supports printer shares and Wake-on-LAN. This makes Smb4K a management interface for discovering and working with shared network resources.
