About Smither
Smither is a lightweight Mastodon client for reading and managing social timelines. It provides access to posts, users, lists, and trending hashtags, with timelines shown in chronological or reverse-chronological order. Multiple accounts are supported, making it possible to switch between different profiles in the same app. Users can customize the theme, including colors and fonts, and configure a network proxy. Push notifications are supported through a compatible notification distributor. Smither provides core Mastodon browsing and account features in a customizable client, with a focus on timelines and lightweight access to social content. Push alerts can surface updates without keeping the timeline open, while proxy support offers another way to connect to the service.
