About Snes9x
Snes9x is an emulator for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Famicom. It recreates the console environment on a computer so users can play games designed for those systems, including titles released only in Japan. The product information describes it as portable and available for computers and workstations. The emulator is intended for people who want to play or revisit games from the Super Nintendo era. Its purpose is console emulation rather than game development or a general media interface. The supplied evidence does not list specific graphics options, controller support, save-state features, or accepted game file formats. Snes9x is therefore focused on running software for the named 16-bit console family on a computer. Compatibility depends on individual titles and configuration, and the evidence does not guarantee that every game will work identically. The record establishes the supported systems and general purpose but leaves setup details unspecified.
