About Cortex Command Community
Cortex Command Community Project is a two-dimensional shooter and real-time strategy game with fully destructible terrain. Players dig for resources, build and defend a bunker, and command troops against an opponent. Protecting a base while trying to reach and destroy the enemy’s brain connects construction and combat in the same match. The game includes several activities and extensive mod support. Its destructible environments mean the battlefield can change as players fight and excavate, while bunker construction gives them control over how their defenses are arranged. Mods can extend the game with community-created content. The Community Project continues the original Cortex Command as an open-source project. It is suited to players who enjoy a mix of tactical planning and direct action, where terrain and structures are part of the fight rather than a fixed backdrop.
