About Sound Center
Sound Center is an open-source audio player that combines local music, podcasts, online streams, and cloud-hosted audio in one app. The local music player handles audio files stored on the device, while the podcast section provides playback and library management for podcast content. A stream player can discover, search, play, and manage online audio streams. The cloud player can search, play, and manage DRM-free audio from a supported streaming source. The app is intended to bring these different listening sources into one interface rather than requiring a separate player for each. The product description lists lyrics search, tag editing, downloading, and song recognition as planned features, so they should not be assumed as currently available. Sound Center is described as modern and open source. The available information does not specify supported local audio formats, podcast feed controls, stream protocols, or how cloud sign-in works. Its scope is audio playback and management across local files, podcasts, streams, and a connected music service.
