About SoundTree Recorder
SoundTree Recorder is an Android audio recorder and organizer built around topic folders and bookmarks. It records M4A audio with a live scrolling waveform, and users can pause and resume a recording without creating a new file. Marks can be added during recording or playback to identify moments worth returning to. Recordings can be organized in a tree of nested topics. The app can save from a notification while the screen is locked and supports audio passthrough to earphones for monitoring an input. It can automatically back up recordings to an external drive or USB device. All data stays on the phone or chosen storage: SoundTree is described as having no accounts, cloud service, tracking, or network permission. It is intended for people who want a continuous recorder with a persistent history and a way to organize and revisit selected moments.
