SpaceBeam transforms camera or media input into real-time geometric and kaleidoscopic visuals for live performance. Inputs can include the front or rear camera, an RTSP video stream, image or video playlists, generative shaders, and visual feedback. Multiple merge modes combine sources, while hand and face tracking, motion sensors, and a Bluetooth MIDI controller can modulate visual parameters. Users can save presets and move smoothly between them, tap a BPM to synchronize low-frequency oscillations, and use automatic playback. The resulting image can be sent to a second display through supported wireless projection or an HDMI connection. The app supports undo and redo and can use a second phone as a remote camera over a local network. SpaceBeam is suited to creating and manipulating live visuals, with input methods ranging from camera images to gesture and audio-control hardware.
