About speakeasy
speakeasy is a command-line tool for validating API specifications and generating software development kits. It works with OpenAPI 3.x specifications and can create client SDKs in Go, Python, TypeScript for Node.js, Java, PHP, Ruby, and Terraform. The generated SDKs are intended to provide language-appropriate interfaces for APIs described by the specification. The CLI can validate whether an OpenAPI specification is correct and report helpful errors. It can run locally or in a continuous-integration pipeline, bringing validation and SDK generation into a development workflow. The listed commands also support authenticating with the associated platform and managing API keys. speakeasy is intended for API developers who maintain an OpenAPI description and want to validate it or produce client libraries from it.
