About Speaker
Speaker is an Android utility that plays a very quiet background sound when selected Bluetooth speakers are connected. Some speakers cut off the beginning of audio after a period of silence, which can make speech or other intermittent sounds lose their first moments. Keeping a faint sound playing prevents the speaker from entering that silent state. The app can start the sound automatically for Bluetooth devices chosen in settings. A control in the top toolbar can also temporarily play or pause it. Speaker is intended for situations where the connected speaker misses the start of playback, such as listening to spoken audio with pauses between sentences. The utility does not change the source recording; it maintains a low-level audio signal through the speaker to avoid its silence-related behavior. Its operation can be limited to selected Bluetooth devices.
