About SqlDataPack
SqlDataPack exports a selected portion of a SQL Server database into a single SQLite file and can import that data back into SQL Server. Users choose which tables, columns, and rows to include, so the result is a data slice rather than a full database backup. Because the output is a normal SQLite database, it can be opened and edited with other SQLite tools before import. This can support preparing a smaller development dataset, creating a reproducible example for troubleshooting, or sharing selected records without giving another person access to the original database. The product does not install anything on the SQL Server and is described as making no outbound connection beyond the server in its connection string. It also reports no telemetry. Users should review and mask sensitive data before sharing a slice, since the exported file contains the selected records. SqlDataPack is intended for controlled data extraction and re-import between SQL Server and SQLite.
