About Squeezelite
Squeezelite is a headless audio player for Android that plays music from a Lyrion Music Server (LMS) on the user’s network. “Headless” means it is designed to act as a playback endpoint rather than provide a full music-browsing interface of its own. The app connects to an LMS server that is reachable on the network and plays the audio supplied through that server. This makes it useful for adding an Android device to an existing multi-room or network music setup. The server provides access to the music library and manages the playback stream. Squeezelite is not a standalone music player: it requires access to an LMS server to be useful. Its role is to receive and play the server’s audio on an Android device, fitting into a setup where the library and playback control are managed elsewhere.
