About Squeezer
Squeezer is a remote control for a Lyrion Music Server and its connected players. It can browse music by artist, composer, album, genre, year, playlist, favorites, or recently added items, and search the full library. Users can manage the current queue, shuffle or repeat playback, edit and save playlists, and browse music folders, library views, or remote libraries. The app can control several players, rename them, group them for synchronized playback, and set sleep timers or alarms. It also supports internet radio browsing and search, lyrics display, and server plugins. Music can be downloaded locally by track, album, artist, genre, year, playlist, or folder. Servers can be discovered automatically on the local network, and password-protected servers are supported. Squeezer can control playback from an Android Wear device and provides home-screen widgets and alarm-clock management. It is free and open source. The app is a controller and companion to a configured music server; users need that server and compatible players for library browsing and playback control. The combination of remote playback, queue management, player grouping, downloads, and alarms makes it useful for operating a multi-room music setup from Android.
