About SrednaBG
SrednaBG monitors a vehicle’s running average speed while it is inside average-speed camera zones in Bulgaria. When a zone begins, the app displays the current average and updates it every second. It also calculates the maximum speed that can be maintained for the remainder of the zone without exceeding its limit. Color changes communicate the current state at a glance, and voice alerts in Bulgarian or English announce zone entry, exit, and when slowing down is needed. The map and zone list are bundled for offline use, with updates delivered over Wi-Fi. The app can run as a navigation app or in the background alongside another navigation app. Background location is required so average speed can continue to be calculated with the screen off or another app in front; the description says location remains on the phone and is used only for the zone calculation. An optional battery-optimization exemption may make tracking more reliable on devices that aggressively suspend background apps. SrednaBG is limited to Bulgaria and focuses on average-speed zones. It is a driving aid, not permission to exceed posted limits: the displayed sustainable speed is calculated relative to the zone’s limit, and drivers remain responsible for driving safely and lawfully.
