About StasherX
StasherX is a Windows utility that hides selected folders without moving or encrypting them. It uses filesystem-level controls and a whitelist to determine which applications can see the hidden directories. This makes the product a visibility and access-control layer for selected folders, rather than a tool that changes their contents or protects them through encryption. The whitelist defines which applications are permitted to interact with those folders, while other applications are restricted from seeing them through the managed setup. StasherX can be useful for limiting accidental access from programs that do not need the files. It is intended for folder visibility control on Windows, and its behavior depends on the configured whitelist and system environment.
