About Stopptanz
Stopptanz is a music timer for hosting Freeze Dance or Musical Chairs. It plays a music file or playlist chosen from local storage and stops playback at a random point. In Freeze Dance mode, music automatically resumes after a fixed pause, though the host can resume it earlier. In Musical Chairs mode, playback stays stopped until the host starts it again. Each mode has a configurable range for how long music plays before stopping. Playlists can be shuffled or looped, and seek and skip controls are available. A system media notification provides playback controls while the game is underway. Stopptanz is an audio and timing tool rather than a complete party-game manager: it does not provide a player, chair, or score tracking. Music files are read only from storage locations selected by the user. The app has no ads, analytics, tracking, or network access.
