About SyncMemories
SyncMemories transfers photo files from a camera to a phone or tablet over a USB connection. It is designed for moving large collections and provides a way to skip files that have already been synchronized. The app compares file sizes when deciding whether a copy is redundant; if a file is incomplete or corrupted and its size differs, it can be transferred again on a later synchronization. The app supports Sony ARW RAW image files and can place RAW files in a separate directory. That makes it possible to keep RAW originals apart from other image files when organizing or backing up a transfer. The description gives an example of managing JPEG and RAW copies separately, but does not specify a particular backup destination or cloud integration. SyncMemories is intended to use the device’s USB capability for direct transfer. Its description says this is normally three to four times faster than Wi-Fi and does not block the device’s Wi-Fi connection. Actual transfer speed may depend on the connected devices and files. The app’s supplied feature list focuses on copying and synchronization rather than editing or viewing photos.
