About SysLog
SysLog captures Android log files and compresses them into ZIP archives stored in the app’s private cache. Supported log types include kernel logs, the last kernel log where available, main system logs, modem logs, event logs, and SELinux audit logs. The timestamped archives can be opened through Android’s document picker. Some log sources, including main and radio logs, require the user to grant READ_LOGS permission through Android Debug Bridge from a computer. Without that permission, those log types may not be available. SysLog is intended for collecting diagnostic logs for review or troubleshooting, rather than for continuously monitoring the device.
