About System Monitor
System Monitor is a process viewer that helps users see how applications use a computer’s processor and memory, and review recent network, memory, and processor activity. Its resource graphs provide a quick visual overview of those measurements, while the process list helps identify applications or tasks consuming resources. The application also provides controls for managing running processes. Users can stop a process that is not responding and change the state or priority of an existing process. These monitoring and management tools bring resource inspection and basic process control together in one graphical interface, making it easier to understand what is active and respond when a task is using resources heavily or has stopped responding.
