About TapLock

TapLock locks an Android screen through a double tap, offering several ways to trigger the action: a resizable home-screen widget, Quick Settings tile, floating button, double tap on the status bar, or taps on selected screen areas such as the lock screen, edges, or corners. Users can adjust tap timing and lock delay, choose vibration feedback, and exclude particular apps from tap detection. The app uses Android’s accessibility service to power off the screen, and that permission is required for it to work. The description says it does not collect personal information or track other device interactions. On devices with Android Advanced Protection enabled, third-party accessibility services are blocked, so TapLock cannot lock the screen in that configuration. The app is available in English and Spanish. Its focus is quick screen locking without reaching for the physical power button, especially for one-handed use.
