About TauriTavern
TauriTavern is a native desktop client compatible with SillyTavern. It adapts the SillyTavern interface for use as a native application and replaces the original Node.js backend with one written in Rust. The project combines an established web interface with a different application backend. Users can work with the familiar SillyTavern front end from a desktop client, while the Rust backend provides the native application's server-side component. The product is therefore a client for an existing roleplay and chat environment rather than a separate general-purpose assistant. TauriTavern is intended for users who want a native desktop client that works with SillyTavern. Its compatibility with that interface is central to its purpose, and its backend is built for the Tauri desktop application framework.
