About telltale
telltale is a command-line tool for monitoring multiple coding-agent sessions and presenting their status and usage in one place. Its council view compares responses from several agent command-line tools to a shared brief, while statusline and HUD modes show activity inside a prompt or in a watch-mode terminal display. The tool also provides a JSON snapshot of fleet state for other programs to read, a preflight check for agent executables, and relays for collecting token counts and activity events. Values are tied to measured tool output; information that cannot be sourced is shown as absent, while derived values are marked as such. telltale is distributed as one binary and is verified on Windows. It is intended for developers who coordinate several coding agents and want a consolidated view of their work and usage.
