About Tempo

Tempo is an Android music client for libraries hosted on Subsonic-compatible servers. It can browse and search by artist, album, genre, playlist, decade, and other categories, and users can create and edit playlists. Playback supports gapless transitions, and the app can use server-side transcoding profiles when the server supports them. Podcasts and radio are also available through compatible servers. Tempo can optionally send listening history to a scrobbling service and can cast music to compatible devices, though the product describes casting support as rudimentary. Offline mode is still under development and may have limitations with multiple servers. Tempo is open source and designed as a lightweight native Android player for people with an existing Subsonic music server.
