About Temporal CLI
Temporal CLI is a command-line interface for running a Temporal Server and interacting with Temporal workflows, activities, namespaces, and related parts of the system. It gives developers terminal access to common server and application operations. Workflows represent durable sequences of application work, while activities are the individual operations performed as part of those workflows. Namespaces provide a way to organize work within a Temporal deployment. The CLI can be used to work with these concepts and the server from scripts or a terminal, supporting development and administration tasks. Temporal CLI is intended for developers and operators building or managing applications with Temporal. It provides a command-line route into server and workflow operations, making it suitable for repeatable tooling and hands-on inspection.
