About Tiger
Tiger is an API client that stores requests as plain-text .tiger files. The file-based approach lets teams review changes to API requests as part of their normal work, while the client can also operate offline without an account. It supports REST, SOAP, and GraphQL APIs. The request workflow includes OAuth 2.0 authentication, client certificates, proxies, request chaining, and pre- and post-request scripts with assertions. Environments can hold secrets, and a collection runner can execute a set of requests. A separate performance runner supports workload testing. Tiger can import existing API collections and specifications from other tools, including Postman, Insomnia, Bruno, OpenAPI, and curl. A built-in Model Context Protocol server lets AI assistants run requests from a collection. This connects interactive API exploration and repeatable collections with agent-assisted use. Tiger is suited to developers or teams who need to create, organize, test, and run API requests, including in offline settings.
