About tilefeed
tilefeed is a pipeline for producing vector map tiles from spatial data stored in a PostGIS database. It supports incremental updates to MBTiles when database changes are announced through LISTEN/NOTIFY. This links database change notifications to tile generation, so a workflow can update affected tile data without treating the whole tile set as a fresh build. MBTiles is a container format for storing map tiles, and vector tiles encode map features as data for later rendering. tilefeed is aimed at developers operating geospatial data pipelines, rather than general map browsing. Its operation depends on a PostGIS database and the notification and tile-storage arrangement used by the project.
