About Tilix

Tilix is a terminal emulator designed to arrange several command line sessions in one window. Users can split the window horizontally or vertically, move terminal panes by dragging them, or detach a pane into a separate window. A saved grouping can be loaded again later, making it possible to return to a chosen terminal layout. For tasks that involve running the same commands in multiple sessions, Tilix can synchronize input so that typing in one terminal is repeated in the others. Panes can have custom titles, and the interface can notify users when a process finishes while its terminal is out of view. Appearance options include file-based color schemes, user-created schemes, and a transparent background. Tilix is built with GTK 3 and was tested with GNOME and Unity; its client-side window decorations can be disabled.
