About Title Track
Title Track is an Android recorder for music ideas, with a tuner and file player built into the same app. Before recording, users can set a count-in of one or two bars at a chosen tempo. During a take, large Done and Restart controls are designed for use without looking at the screen, while a live waveform shows recent levels and highlights near-clipping. A silent visual metronome is enabled by default, with an optional click for headphone use. A level test can measure a loud passage and suggest gain. Recordings are saved as mono WAV files in a folder chosen by the user. The app can browse, organize, rename, move, star, share, and play recordings. The tuner provides a damped needle or strobe display and identifies the nearest note and octave using equal temperament at A4 440 Hz. The built-in player draws waveforms, supports seeking and zooming, and can trim or normalize audio. WAV trimming copies the selected audio data without re-encoding; edits can overwrite a take or save a copy as WAV or FLAC. BPM can be stored in the WAV metadata, and notes can be attached to a take. The app supports English and German and has no internet permission. Recording stops if the app leaves the foreground, and recordings are mono. The microphone is the only required permission. Title Track is designed for capturing and organizing musical ideas locally, with count-in, recording, tuning, editing, and playback in one workflow.
