About Track Exploder
Track Exploder is an audio practice tool for barbershop singers. It takes tenor, lead, baritone, and bass part files for a song, extracts each isolated voice from its stereo track, and aligns the parts automatically. The resulting four-part mixer lets a singer build a practice mix: solo their own part, mute it to sing against the other voices, or adjust the balance among all parts. Each part has controls for level, stereo position, channel, mute, and inclusion. Per-part waveforms help preview the mix, and playback can be slowed to half speed without changing pitch. Mix presets can be saved for reuse. Users can export a single mix or generate multiple mixes in bulk, with WAV and FLAC output formats. Shared source tags are preserved in the exported audio. Part recordings may begin at different points, even when they belong to the same song. Track Exploder measures the offsets and corrects them automatically while keeping spoken introductions and pitch pipes together. Each part’s adjustment remains visible and can be fine-tuned manually if needed. This is useful when assembling practice material from files that were not aligned exactly by their publisher. Audio processing takes place on the device. The app does not use accounts, servers, advertising, analytics, or tracking, and it does not upload music. Its focus is on turning existing part-predominant recordings into customized mixes for rehearsal rather than providing a general music library or recording service.
