About Tracy Profiler
Tracy Profiler is a real-time profiler for examining the performance of games and other applications. It records CPU activity, GPU work, memory allocations, locks, and context switches, providing detailed timing and resource data to help developers investigate bottlenecks. It supports both frame-based and sampling profiling, and can capture telemetry remotely. The profiler integrates with applications written in C, C++, Lua, Python, and Fortran, with third-party bindings available for other languages. It supports major graphics and compute APIs, including OpenGL, Vulkan, Direct3D, Metal, OpenCL, and CUDA. Captured screenshots can be associated with frames, adding visual context to timing data. Tracy is aimed at developers who need to understand runtime behavior at fine time resolution; collecting useful results requires adding the appropriate instrumentation or integrations to the application.
