About Trails Hito

Trails Hito is a lightweight viewer for trail files stored on an Android phone. It can open GPX, TCX, and KML files from local storage or receive them through Android’s sharing function. The app displays the loaded trail along with the user’s location, either as a one-time position or through continuous location updates. The app does not include its own trail collection; users supply existing files. This makes it useful for viewing routes prepared elsewhere or shared by another app. The choice between single and continuous location updates lets users decide whether they need a current position or an ongoing location view while exploring. Trails Hito stores and sends no data outside the phone according to its description, and is designed for low battery consumption. It is a file-based trail viewer, not a route planner or navigation service, and its usefulness depends on having suitable GPX, TCX, or KML files.
