About TrayAuth
TrayAuth is a Windows authenticator that displays time-based one-time passwords in a panel opened from the system tray. Users can copy a code with one click, and the clipboard clears it automatically after twenty seconds. Accounts are added by entering the Base32 setup key, and the dialog previews the generated code so it can be checked before saving. The product stores account data locally, encrypts it with Windows DPAPI, and makes no network calls, according to its description. It can export accounts to JSON and a scannable QR image for backup or transfer. TrayAuth supports several code lengths and periods and follows standard TOTP algorithms. Its vault is tied to the Windows profile that created it.
