About TuneFriend
TuneFriend is a music player for streaming from a friend’s self-hosted Subsonic-compatible server. Users connect with the server address and credentials supplied by the server owner, then browse artists, albums, and songs or search the library. The app can shuffle all tracks or play a random selection. Playback continues in the background with lock-screen controls, and TuneFriend can resume the last song where listening stopped. Favorites and the full library can be synchronized with the server. It connects directly to the configured server and does not require a separate account with the app provider. TuneFriend is intended for listening to music hosted by someone the user trusts. Access depends on a compatible server and valid login details; the app does not provide a music catalog or hosting service itself.
