About USBTrace
USBTrace is a USB protocol analyzer for inspecting traffic between host controllers, hubs, and devices. It captures control, bulk, interrupt, and isochronous transfers, then decodes standard and class-specific USB descriptors and requests. The tool can also display device-enumeration information. The analyzer supports USB 1.x, 2.0, and 3.0 devices and can capture requests exchanged during enumeration. Its decoding covers device classes including hubs, HID, mass storage, audio, video, printers, and other equipment. It captures traffic without using a filter driver. USBTrace is intended for developers and testers working on USB firmware or drivers. It provides detailed protocol-level visibility to help analyze device communication and investigate behavior between a computer and connected hardware.
