About Vanilla Tag Editor

Vanilla Tag Editor is a plug-in for the Vanilla Music player that edits metadata tags in audio files. It can update fields such as title, album, year, and lyrics, and supports MP3, Ogg, and FLAC formats. Changes are written back to the music file itself when the format supports storing the selected tags. The plug-in is accessed from the music player’s library context menu and requires the separate player to be installed. It is intended for editing audio-file metadata rather than changing the playback library or retrieving artwork. Artwork handling is provided by a separate plug-in. Vanilla Tag Editor is useful for correcting or adding details to a music collection. Supported tags depend on the audio format, and the supplied description notes that not every format can store all metadata. It is a small companion feature within the player’s plug-in system, not a standalone music editor.
