About Verifpal
Verifpal is a symbolic formal-verification tool for analyzing cryptographic protocols. Users describe a protocol in the Verifpal language and define security queries that express properties the protocol should satisfy. The tool then searches for an attack that violates those queries. If an attack is found, Verifpal prints a trace showing how the protocol can be broken. This provides protocol designers with a concrete sequence of messages or actions to inspect, rather than only a pass-or-fail result. Verifpal is intended for security engineers and researchers who design or review cryptographic protocols. It supports analysis of real-world protocols using a symbolic model, helping identify weaknesses before a protocol is deployed.
