About VibeIDE
VibeIDE is an AI-focused integrated development environment for writing and working with software. It combines the editing environment with configurable language-model providers, a coding agent, and an autopilot mode. This places AI assistance within the development workspace, where it can be used alongside the code and project being edited. The IDE is based on a fork of a familiar code editor and allows users to configure their own model providers. The coding agent and autopilot are intended to support code-related tasks, while the bring-your-own-key approach lets users connect an API credential for a provider they choose. It has no subscription and does not collect telemetry. VibeIDE is intended for developers who want an editor with integrated AI assistance and control over the model connection. Its main pieces are the code workspace, provider settings, coding agent, and autopilot workflow. Users configure the model connection and use the AI features provided by the installed application.
