About VoiceNote
VoiceNote provides on-device dictation and meeting notes for Windows. Users hold a hotkey and speak, and the recognized words are typed into whichever application is active. Speech recognition and formatting run locally, allowing dictation to work offline without sending audio or transcripts to a server. The application can also record meetings by capturing the user’s microphone and the other side of a call. It then creates a transcript and summary on the device. This brings live dictation and meeting documentation into one tool, with speech recognition and formatting performed on the computer. VoiceNote is intended for users who want voice input and meeting notes while keeping processing local. Its workflow combines a keyboard shortcut, speech transcription, formatting, and meeting capture. The product uses local speech and language models that are obtained on first run.
