About Vyomi
Vyomi is a local cloud simulator that provides AWS-, Google Cloud-, and Azure-like environments on a laptop. Standard provider SDKs and command-line tools can work with the simulator by overriding the service endpoint, without requiring a compatibility shim. This lets developers test cloud-oriented code and commands against a local environment. The simulator runs inside a virtual machine that the Vyomi launcher provisions. Once the local environment is running, developers can direct supported SDKs, command-line tools, and infrastructure tools to it. This provides a way to exercise workflows against local backends rather than immediately using remote cloud resources. Vyomi is useful for development and testing where a local approximation of several cloud platforms is helpful. Its compatibility with standard tools and endpoint configuration let existing workflows connect to the simulator, while the virtual machine provides the environment in which the service backends run.
