About Watt

Watt is an Android tool for enabling or disabling individual app components, such as receivers, services, and activities. It can also block selected broadcasts so apps do not receive them, and can disable keep-alive services. These controls are intended for users who want to limit background behavior or adjust how installed apps respond to system events. Watt uses Android package-manager commands and requires root permissions. It does not use the older Intent Firewall method described in its product information. The app is open-source, has no data collection, and provides a simple interface for managing component state. Its functionality depends on root access and should be used by people familiar with Android app components.
