About werewolves_game
werewolves_game turns an Android device into a local server for the social deduction party game Werewolves. The app hosts a game site over the same Wi-Fi network, allowing other players to join from a web browser without an internet connection. The first person to join becomes the administrator and can configure roles, timers, and game rules. The server automates the game’s day and night cycle, including secret role assignment, night actions, voting, eliminations, and win-condition checks. With the automated narrator, everyone can participate as a player. The game supports up to 24 different roles and includes solo victory conditions for some neutral roles. An administrator can adjust timers, remove players, and change rules during play. A pass-and-play mode supports groups with a single device: players take turns viewing their private role through a guided interface. Ghost mode gives eliminated players a limited chance to take part in later accusation and voting phases. Multiple languages can be used within a single game. The app can run in the background while hosting, and the device displays connection details and a QR code for joining. werewolves_game is intended for groups gathered on one local network. A game needs at least four players to start, with larger groups recommended. It handles the bookkeeping and hidden information so the group can focus on discussion and deduction without assigning a human narrator.
