About WinPrefs
WinPrefs is a Windows developer tool that converts a registry path into commands or source code. It can produce registry commands, C#, C, or PowerShell output, allowing a selected registry path to be represented in a format suited to a script or program. The output can be filtered by depth and by configurable wildcard strings. Depth limits how far the tool follows the registry structure, while wildcard filters narrow which paths are included. These controls are useful when exporting only a particular section of the registry instead of generating output for an entire branch. WinPrefs is intended for developers or administrators who need to inspect registry settings and reuse them in code or scripts. This Windows package contains the native component; the PowerShell module is separate and is not included.
