yadaw is a compact digital audio workstation for recording, arranging, and editing music and sound effects. It provides multitrack audio recording, a timeline for arranging tracks, a mixer, and automation lanes for controlling parameters over time. MIDI input and a piano-roll editor support composing with notes, while plugin hosting adds instruments and effects through CLAP and LV2 formats. Audio can be imported from or exported to WAV, Ogg, and FLAC. The app is available across desktop platforms and Android and is designed to remain lightweight. A keyboard or mouse is recommended because dragging and keyboard shortcuts are central to many editing actions. The app does not include built-in effects, so sound processing depends on compatible plugins.
