About Zipline
Zipline is an Android client for managing files and shortened links on a self-hosted Zipline instance. Users can upload files with settings such as password protection, view limits, or automatic deletion after a chosen period. Existing files can be viewed, downloaded, edited, or deleted, and folders can be created, managed, and used as upload destinations. The app can shorten URLs with an optional custom identifier, password, or maximum number of views. Shortened links can be opened, edited, or deleted. It also displays upload metrics such as storage used, view counts, and totals for files and links. Users can update their own account details, while administrators can manage other users and their files. Superadmins can view and change instance-wide settings such as file-size limits and rate limits. Zipline requires a self-hosted instance running a compatible version of the server software. The Android app is a management client rather than a standalone upload or link-shortening service. Its available controls depend on the connected account’s permissions and the server version.
