About μlogger

μlogger records location points for outdoor activities such as hiking and biking. Users can configure tracking and send points to a self-hosted web server in real time. The app can use GPS or network-based location data and retries synchronization when a connection problem occurs. If the phone is offline, tracking can continue and the positions can later be exported as GPX or KML files for manual upload. Waypoints can include images and comments; synchronizing waypoints requires a compatible server version. The app is designed as a client-server system that users operate themselves, with location data sent to their own server. It does not use Google Play services, according to its description, and is intended to have low memory and battery impact. μlogger is useful for recording routes and points of interest during outdoor activities. Its online synchronization depends on a compatible server, while offline logging and file export provide an alternative when the server is unavailable.
