About AWAGAM TLD and Domain Blocker

AWAGAM TLD and Domain Blocker filters domain names at the DNS level using blocklists chosen by the user. It creates a local VPN that intercepts DNS queries; blocked names resolve to 0.0.0.0, while other requests are sent to a selected DNS-over-HTTPS service or a local resolver. The app includes no blocklists by default, so users decide what should be blocked. Users can manage multiple blocklist sources, pause filtering temporarily with automatic restart, review DNS and cache statistics, and export configuration in formats used by other filtering systems. Background updates and a watchdog can keep filtering active after interruptions, and the app can start on boot. It does not log DNS queries, according to its description. There are important limits: DNS filtering sees domain names rather than full URLs, apps that use their own DNS-over-HTTPS can bypass it, and Android allows only one VPN at a time. AWAGAM’s own VPN therefore cannot run alongside another VPN app.
