About Accerciser

Accerciser is an interactive accessibility inspection tool for the GNOME desktop. It gives developers and accessibility testers a way to examine and control application widgets through AT-SPI, the interface applications expose to accessibility tools. By inspecting widget information and interacting with controls, users can check whether an application communicates the information assistive technologies need and whether it can be exercised by automated test frameworks. Accerciser is written in Python and includes a plug-in framework, so users can add custom views of the accessibility information being inspected. This makes it useful for investigating how desktop interfaces expose their controls and for building specialized inspection views around an accessibility testing task.
