About Anki Image Occlusion
Anki Image Occlusion creates image-based flashcards for studying with AnkiDroid. Users can cover parts of an image to create cards that test recall of the hidden areas. The app supports standard occlusion cards as well as grouped or combined cloze-style cards, giving learners different ways to divide a diagram or image into study prompts. The generated cards are added to AnkiDroid, so that app must be installed before using the image-occlusion tool. AnkiDroid then provides the spaced-repetition review workflow for practicing the cards over time. Anki Image Occlusion is a companion authoring tool rather than a standalone flashcard reviewer. It is useful for turning labeled diagrams or reference images into recall exercises that can be studied in the flashcard app.
