About Apod MD
Apod MD presents astronomy pictures from the Astronomy Picture of the Day service in a Material Design interface. Users can view images and read accompanying descriptions that provide context about what is shown. Favorite images can be downloaded for later access or for keeping a personal selection. The app is intended for casual astronomy learning and browsing. The combination of an image and its explanatory text makes it possible to explore a range of astronomical subjects through a daily picture feature. The supplied information does not specify whether older images can be searched, how favorites are organized, or whether downloaded images retain their descriptions. Its documented functions are viewing astronomy images, reading their descriptions, and downloading favorites.
