About BookStash
BookStash is an offline-first library and reader for books and web fiction. Users can add works from supported public sources, store downloads locally, and organize them across shelves for fan fiction, web serials, and books. Works can be grouped by series or fandom and searched, with include and exclude tag filters. The app can also follow tags or series and surface new matching works when it synchronizes. The reader offers adjustable fonts, remembers reading position, and moves between chapters and works in a series. A “What’s New” view highlights newly fetched and saved items. The app describes its fetching as rate-limited and tied to the user’s own library. Data is stored on-device, with export and backup options; it has no account, ads, or tracking. BookStash is suited to readers who want a curated local library and reading progress retained offline.
